The Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics
is comprised of 26 faculty members and about 
200 students and postdoctoral fellows pursuing 
a range of biological problems encompassing 
biochemistry, genetics, structural biology, and 
cell biology. The faculty is especially committed 
to graduate education and is actively engaged 
in shaping the highly collaborative environment
that makes UCSF such a special place.
