Sorry to interrupt the holiday!
With many people heading out of town for Thanksgiving, we wanted to let everyone to know that we will be accepting scanned copies of homework assignments, with the following conditions:
(1) Scanned files must be in PDF format
(2) The file must be named Firstname_Lastname_FlyPset.pdf
(3) The file must be legible. Check your scan before e-mailing us. If you use low resolution that we cannot read or color images that do not scan well, it will be hard to give you points.
(4) E-mail containing the attachment must be timestamped before 5 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
(5) E-mail must be sent to all three TAs.
Of course, you can still hand in a paper copy at the Weiner Lab dropbox before 5 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
So that the Drosophila problem set is not due the same day as NSF proposals, the due date for this problem set will be pushed back from Monday, Nov. 19 to Wednesday, Nov. 21. Please hand in your assignments at the Weiner Lab before 5 PM.
When handing in the problem set, please group and staple your answers together into the following three packages:
(1 with 2), (3 with 5), (4 alone).
It may seem silly, but please do it as it will greatly help us with grading.
Additionally, worksheets from review sessions have been added to the website, and a list of Common Tools of Drosophila Genetics has been added to Key Concepts.
The fly problem set is now posted! It will be due 11/19 in class.
Keep working hard! The end of the quarter is right around the corner.
