Yeast Cells with Mutant Telomerase
Cells with mutant telomerase become senescent.

They are abnormally large, do not divide properly and eventually die.

In our research we have marked yeast telomeres with a fluorescent molecule.

We hope that by visualizing telomeres we can better understand how mutant telomeres lead to aberrant cell growth.
