The Davis lab and others have established that neurons homeostatically regulate their activity. But how is the level of neural activity monitored?  How does a postsynaptic neuron know how much presynaptic activity is needed for proper function?  I am exploring these questions using a combination of electrophysiology, genetics and pharmacology at the Drosophila neuromuscular junction.
