I am interested in the mechanisms regulating structural growth and maintenance at the synapse. In recent years, identification of mutants such as futsch have highlighted the importance of the cytoskeleton in the process of synaptic growth. I am using both genetics and imaging to investigate the regulation of the cytoskeleton at the synapse.
