This program was developed and tested under Windows XP.
ISFOLD is distributed in two forms: zipped MATLAB source files capable of running on any PC or MAC platform with MATLAB version 7 SP3 or higher installed, or a stand alone version (.exe) capable of running under the Windows platform, after correct installation of a freeware compiler provided by Mathworks (details can be found here, please follow the stand-alone procedure exactly as described at the bottom of this page).

Zipped MATLAB source files (for PC and MAC):

This contains MATLAB script
files and one generated FASTA alignment for testing, in addition to the user
manual.
To run GUI version, open MATLAB, change active directory to "isfold" folder,
and type: isfold
To run script version, open MATLAB, change active directory to "isfold" folder,
and type: BPpredictor
Stand-alone files (for PC):
PC compiler (~100 Mb)
ISFOLD (<1 Mb)
This contains executable file and one generated FASTA alignment for testing,
in addition to the user manual.
Procedure to install and run the stand-alone version:
1- Download “PC_compiler” and “ISFOLD” from
the stand-alone section on this page.
2- Install PC_compiler first, follow all the prompts during the installation,
and restart your PC.
3- Install / run ISFOLD by double-clicking isfold.exe found inside the “isfold” directory
that you just downloaded and unzipped.
The first time this file is executed it may take a minute. To run ISFOLD in the future just double-click isfold.exe and the program GUI will start immediately.
