Eudora Settings (Biochem):

Back to Settings

To check that your Eudora Settings are correctly configured for you Biochemistry Account, follow these steps:

  1. Getting Started
  2. Getting Mail
  3. Sending Mail


1. In Eudora, go to the menubar, click on "Special/Settings." On the Left side panel select "Getting Started" and enter in your Biochem Email Account information.

Please note: the "SMTP Server" is specific to the outbound mail server of your (ISP) Internet Service Provider. So, if your connecting to the Internet via an Earthlink account, the SMTP is mail.eartlink.net OR if your connecting to the Internet via the Biochem Dial-in Server, the SMTP is biochem.ucsf.edu

2. Next, select "Getting Mail" in the Left panel.

Please note: Under "Mail Management" ONLY CHECK the box "Leave on Server..." if you are configuring Eudora on your HOME or LAPTOP computer(s). If you are configuring Eudora for the OFFICE, "Leave on Server..." must be UN-CHECKED.

3. Next, select "Sending Mail" in the Left panel and enter in the following.
