Connect to Remote Macintosh Shares via AFP over TCP/IP

Only follow these steps if you know the IP Address or DNS Host name of the Macintosh computer that you are trying to access.

Network Browser

  1. Find the Application, "Network Browser," there should be alias inside the Apple Menu Items, in a folder named "~Misc" inside the Apple Menu, or perform a search a search on your drive

  1. Open the Application, click-and-drag on the first icon with a disk, bring it down to "Connect to Server..."

  1. In the Connect to Server window, enter the IP Address or DNS Host name of the Server you want to connect to, press "connect.".

Chooser

The Chooser should only be used if you do not have the Network Browser Application, which is preferred.

  1. In Chooser,

  1. Enter the IP Address or DNS name of the Server you want to connect to, press "connect.".
