Dr. Robert Stroud, a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco, runs a lab that seeks to understand molecular mechanisms of certain key biological processes, as well as signal transduction between processes at the level of protein structure, dynamics and mechanism. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences and was awarded the Hans Neurath Award of the Protein Society in 2008 and the Anatrace Award of the Biophysical Society in 2009.
